LIDINE 2021 will be held at University of California San Diego on September 14-17, 2021. The conference will be fully online with remote participation.
Started from 2013, the LIDINE conference series promoted the discussion between members of the particle and nuclear physics community about detector technologies based on noble elements and their applications, such as for dark matter, neutrino oscillations, solar and supernova neutrinos, coherent elastic neutrino-nucleus scattering, neutrinoless double-beta decay, neutron EDM, and medical physics.
Three members of the AstroCeNT team will take part in the conference.
On 14 Sep Dr Masayuki Wada, leader of Ultrapure SiPMs and Associated Readout Electronics group (AstroCeNT) will talk about delayed electron emission in DarkSide-50 double phase liquid argon TPC. For more details see the following link.
On 17 Sep Dr Marcin Kuźniak, the leader of SiPM Systems for Astroparticle Physics and Medical Physics group (AstroCeNT), will give a talk titled “Very-thick transparent GEMs with wavelength-shifting capability for noble element TPCs”, based on a recent paper in collaboration with, among others, Univ. de Santiago de Compostela, Technical University of Munich and CERN.
On 17 Sep Dr Cenk Turkoglu (AstroCeNT, research group 1) will talk about the results of his comparative experimental work with two wavelength shifter candidate materials: PolyEthylene Naphthalate (PEN) and TetraPhenyl Butadiene (TPB). More information can be found here.
