AstroCeNT seismic sensor has been installed in Chile

Seismic sensor developed by AstroCeNT team (group 2 led by Prof Tomasz Bulik and group 3 led by Dr Mariusz Suchenek) has been set up in Chile. The installation was carried out under stratovolcano Cerro Toco, next to the ALMA telescopes, which are visible from afar.

Development of cost-effective seismic sensors for monitoring the environment of underground liquid argon detectors and gravitational wave detectors is one of the tasks supported by DarkWave project.
