On 9-12 April 2022 postdoctoral researcher Marek Walczak paid scientific visit to New York. The purpose of his trip was to attend the April Meeting conference of the American Physical Society.
During the conference Dr Walczak gave a presentation: “DarkSide-20K experiment and its veto”, where he introduced the DarkSide-20k experiment, in particular the design of the neutron veto, and presented the status of the ongoing tests of the veto SiPMs. He also attended other talks on dark matter and met other physicists including people form The Global Argon Dark Matter Collaboration.
Dr Walczak’s travel was funded from DarkWave project.
