On the 20-25th<\/sup> of June 2022 AstroCeNT postdocs Dr Marek Walczak<\/a> and Dr Rafa\u0142 Wojaczy\u0144ski<\/a> participated in INFN School of Underground Physics \u2013 SoUP 2022<\/a> carried out in LNGS.<\/p>

SoUP 2022 is an advanced school for PhD students, post-docs and young researchers willing to gain deeper knowledge in topics related to underground physics. The school is open to everybody in the world\u00a0working on underground physics. The school includes lectures and hands-on sessions on physics, detectors, technologies and statistics specific to the topic of low-background, underground experiments. During the school our colleagues also had opportunity to visit the LNGS laboratory, where the DarkSide-20k detector will be built.<\/p>

Participation in SoUP, which helps young scientists gain new knowledge and expand their network in the scientific community, was made possible thanks to funding from the DarkWave project<\/a>.<\/p>
