On April 11 our PhD student Sarthak Choudhary (SiPM Systems for Astroparticle Physics and Medical Physics group<\/a>, led by Prof. Marcin Ku\u017aniak) left for about 1.5 months for a scientific visit to the University of Zurich<\/a> and the Technical University of Munich<\/a> to take part in measurement of wavelength shifting properties of polyethylene naphthalate (PEN) with experimental setups available at both universities.<\/p> As part of his doctoral research, Sartak Choudhary is studying the optical properties of wavelength shifters and SiPM detectors to be used in dark matter detectors.
