This new approach, called 3Dπ (Three-Dimensional Positron Imaging), introduces a total-body PET scanner that offers incredibly detailed images with lower radiation exposure and faster scan times.

The technology, inspired by the DarkSide collaboration and the emerging advancements in cryogenic photosensors, liquid argon (LAr) detector technology, and low-radioactivity argon procurement, integrates time-of-flight (TOF) technology, ultra-low dose imaging, and ultra-fast readout electronics.
