343343{"id":1964,"date":"2024-06-19T12:38:59","date_gmt":"2024-06-19T12:38:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/darkwave.astrocent.pl\/?p=1964"},"modified":"2024-06-19T12:39:00","modified_gmt":"2024-06-19T12:39:00","slug":"darkside-20k-collaboration-summer-meeting","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/darkwave.astrocent.pl\/index.php\/2024\/06\/19\/darkside-20k-collaboration-summer-meeting\/","title":{"rendered":"DarkSide-20k collaboration summer meeting"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Views: 11<\/p>\n<p>On the June 10-14 the DarkSide-20k collaboration summer meeting took place at the National Laboratory of Gran Sasso (LNGS) in Assergi, Italy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/darkside.lngs.infn.it\">DarkSide <\/a>collaboration is an international affiliation of universities and labs seeking to directly detect <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Dark_matter\">dark matter<\/a> in the form of <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Weakly_interacting_massive_particles\">weakly interacting massive particles<\/a> (WIMPs). The collaboration is planning, building and operating a series of liquid argon <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Time_projection_chamber\">time projection chambers<\/a> (TPCs) that are employed at th GSSI.
