Thanks to funding from the Office for International Cooperation of the Polish Academy of Sciences, AstroCeNT (CAMK PAN) had the opportunity to host Prof. Filipa Borges from the Physics Department of the University of Coimbra from November 18–22, 2024.
During her visit, Prof. Borges collaborated with the research groups of Prof. Masayuki Wada and Prof. Marcin Kuzniak on several key topics such as advancing projects on the development of gas radiation detectors, particularly electroluminescence-based technologies, and producing innovative wavelength-shifting structures at CEZAMAT, which will be jointly characterized.
The visit also facilitated discussions on formalizing collaboration through the establishment of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between LIP and AstroCeNT. Additionally, scientists explored the possibility of the future MSc projects and plans for student exchanges.
We are delighted to enhance our collaborations with scientific institutions across the globe. International cooperation lies at the core of AstroCeNT’s mission, establishing us as a central hub in Europe for fostering partnerships between countries and research institutes.
