From June 30 to July 4, Dr. André Cortez represented our team at the 2024 International Workshop on Radiation Imaging Detectors (iWoRiD) held in beautiful Lisbon, Portugal. The workshop provides an international forum for discussing current research and developments in the area of position-sensitive detectors for radiation imaging, including semiconductor detectors, gas detectors, and scintillator-based detectors.
This year, the event was attended by 270 participants. André contributed to this collaborative effort by presenting a poster titled “Innovative Structures for Improved Light Collection in Argon-Based TPCs”.
Organisers: University of Coimbra, the Laboratory for Instrumentation, Biomedical Engineering and Radiation Physics (LIBPhys), Universidade NOVA de Lisboa, Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade de Lisboa.
André’s travel was funded from Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions grant.
