On 17 October, the last day of the LIDINE 2021 conference (
LIght Detection In Noble Elements), it was announced that Warsaw was chosen as the location for the next conference in the series! AstroCeNT, an autonomous department of the Nicolaus Copernicus Astronomical Center of the Polish Academy of Sciences, will host LIDINE 2022. The organising committee will be chaired by Dr Martin Kuźniak, head of SiPM Systems for Astroparticle Physics and Medical Physics Group at AstroCeNT.
This year, three AstroCeNT researchers (Dr Marcin Kuźniak, Dr Masayuki Wada and Dr Cenk Turkoglu) gave talks at LIDINE, and contributions from our researchers featured in many other talks. Next year our team will organise this large-scale event that brings together scientists specialising in experimental astroparticle, particle and nuclear physics, and detector technologies based on noble elements, from all over the world. LIDINE is unique for its spirit of promoting constructive multidisciplinary discussion and free exchange of ideas between members of many experimental collaborations, and different fields. This is also our approach here at AstroCeNT. Hosting LIDINE2022 is both a challenge and an honour for our young institution, which emerged in 2018 and is gradually building visibility in the scientific world.
Stay tuned for further announcements!
